Food delivery: Direction Home in Eastern Ohio is working with agencies to fund the family's first coronavirus response bill and provide non-contact food delivery services for seniors 60 and older.

Scams against the elderly: Dave Long answers questions about the latest scams in a series of monthly lectures on the latest scams held at the Polish Township Government Center, 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland at 1 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month. Goals and how to protect personal information.

Long is from Poland and is a retired public affairs officer of the United States Customs and Border Protection in Buffalo. He later worked as an outreach expert for elderly fraud prevention at Lifespan in Rochester, New York before returning to Mahoning Valley.

Senior Citizen Program: ACTION and MYCAP work with Christ-centered churches to provide senior services for men and women aged 65 and over.

Three days a week, the elderly participate in virtual projects such as sports, courses, game time, community awareness, movies and TV, healthy cooking, small talk and humor. Once a week, lunch will be provided when they participate in game time, TV, movies or speakers.

RSVP is a national service program for individuals 55 and older who wish to volunteer in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. These volunteers will also assist in community activities.

The Elderly Support Action Group is an alliance of community partners that helps seniors in the valley get food, transportation, and medical appointments and accompany through the phone partner program.

Ombudsman Program: The Orientation House in Eastern Ohio is looking for volunteers to join the Ombudsman Program to promote excellence in people living in long-term care facilities.

Inspectors help ensure that residents of long-term care facilities receive quality care and treatment. Volunteers will make phone calls and virtual visits to residents.

The training to become a certified volunteer will be provided on a virtual basis. Call 330-505-2338 for more information.

Retired Teachers Meeting: The Ma Hongning Retired Teachers Association will hold a meeting at the Drakes Landing Banquet Center at 2177 Xichu Road on Wednesday at 11 am. The plan and meeting will be chaired by Phil Barto.

The Boardman Jazz Band will provide festival and traditional music, and will collect donations to benefit the Salvation Army children's toy movement.

Bus tour: Jesus is the main ministry department and there are still some seats available for its upcoming bus tour in December.

The bus will depart on Wednesday and return on Thursday night. The trip included a Winter Wonderland concert at the American Music Theater and "Queen Esther" at the Lancaster Audiovisual Theater in Pennsylvania. Dinner will go home at Good N Plenty on Wednesday night and after lunch at Dienner on Thursday.
